LV= business development manager wins sales professional of the year

Press release: 28/02/2014

Siobhan Rowland, LV= Business Development Manager in the intermediary protection sales team has won the prestigious Sales Professional of the Year award at the British Excellence in Sales and Marketing Awards.

The awards, organised by the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management last night, are open to sales professionals across all industries and entrants’ written submissions are judged on criteria such as their sales achievements, ability to communicate effectively as well as their financial and commercial intelligence. Shortlisted entrants also participated in a role play and were interviewed by a judging panel to demonstrate their negotiation skills.

The judges were impressed with Siobhan’s diary management which enables her to spend more quality time with adviser firms than her competitors, and described her as “head and shoulders” above the other entrants.

This is the second time in as many years that an LV= Business Development Manager has won this award as Jon Fuller achieved the same accolade last year. This year LV=’s Adam Davidson was a shortlisted finalist for the Telesales Professional of the Year category.

Mike Farrell, LV= Head of Protection Sales said: “Winning this award is a great achievement and we are really pleased that Siobhan has received external recognition for her hard work. To have a member of our team win this award for the second year in a row is just fantastic.

“At LV= we pride ourselves on providing an excellent level of service to advisers and customers alike. As such we invest in our staff to ensure they have the support they need to develop the skills required to provide the quality of service we are known for.”
