LV= appoints Simon Aldred as director of management information

Insurance, investment and retirement group LV= has appointed Simon Aldred as director of management information for its general insurance business.

In his new role Simon will be responsible for the leadership, management and coordination of all management information (MI) systems and data integration across LV='s general insurance business unit. He will have overall responsibility for the MI strategy, ensuring that all solutions support business activities and are delivered in an integrated manner. In addition, Simon will oversee company-wide projects, to ensure they are delivered to cost, quality and time. The role is a leading and critical interface between LV='s general insurance business and the company’s IT division. Simon will report into Steve Castle, GI finance director.

Simon has a wealth of MI experience having most recently held the position of head of information services at RBS Insurance where he provided leadership of enterprise data and MI projects. During his time at RBS, Simon also led the Business Data workstream for the Solvency II programme. He has also held senior IT roles at Churchill Management Ltd and KPMG.

Commenting on the appointment, Steve Castle, GI finance director, said: "This is an important role within LV= so I am delighted that someone with Simon’s experience and expertise is joining us. Simon will play a key part in ensuring our management information systems are fit for purpose and support successful business decision-making and solutions."
