'A' rating for LVAM

Press release: 18/09/2008

LV= Asset Management (LVAM), the fund management arm of mutual insurance and investment group LV=, has received a Standard & Poor's rating for two of its multi manager funds.

The LV= Balanced Managed Fund and LV= Stockmarket Fund were both awarded ‘A' ratings in S&P's asset allocation sector.

The funds, managed by Tom Caddick, Head of Multi Manager and Fund Selection, were launched in December 2007 and have already attracted much attention. Securing a rating in a relatively short time demonstrates recognition of their approach.

S&P fund analyst Roberto Demartini said: "The funds' focus on consistency is evident in every step of the process, which emphasises fund selection over highly active allocation."

Caddick, who expanded his team through the hire of Simon Brooks earlier this year, has recently launched a new Diversified Income fund (available direct and as a pension fund variant via the LV= Retirement Solutions platform) and four further OEIC sub funds (which are being distributed as above and through Lighthouse Capital).

Caddick comments: "We are very pleased to be awarded this rating. It is recognition of our structured investment process that looks to identify strength and consistency."
