Income protection cover quick guide

Protects you against loss of income because of accident or sickness.
You get regular payments while you can't work.
You can insure up to 55% of your gross earned income.
You can choose from:
- guaranteed or reviewable premiums
- level or inflation-linked income protection.
No limit to the number of claims.
Cheaper budget cover available.
You can have our income protection plan until you're 70 (depending on your occupation).

Important things you should know

If you stop paying the premiums for income protection insurance, you may not be covered when you need it most.
If you cancel the plan, you won't get any refund or get back any premiums you've paid. This policy has no cash in value at any time.
If you choose level cover, your cover is fixed when your policy starts and doesn't change. This means that it won't keep up with inflation and will buy less in the future.
Our budget cover will only pay out a maximum of 24 months for any single claim.

Who can apply for LV= income protection cover?

All we ask is that:

you're a UK resident
you're aged 17 to 59
your policy lasts for at least five years
your income protection premium is at least £5 a month
