Your ISA

Information for Current LV= ISA policy holders

Individual Savings Accounts, more commonly known as ISAs offer an opportunity to build a range of tax efficient investments  in cash, and stocks & shares.

From 6 April 2008 you have been able to invest in one cash and one stocks & shares ISA each tax year.  The total ISA investment allowance has risen to £7,200 per tax year and of this up to £3,600 can be invested in a Cash ISA.  The remaining £3,600 can be invested in a stocks & shares ISA.  For example you could invest £2,000 in a Cash ISA and £5,200 in a stocks & shares ISA.  However, if you do not wish to invest in a Cash ISA, the full £7,200 can be invested in a stocks & shares ISA.

Maxi and mini ISAs no longer exist.  Existing mini cash, tessa-only ISAs and the cash component of maxi ISAs have automatically become cash ISAs.  Similarly, mini stocks & shares ISAs and the stocks and shares component of maxi ISA have automatically become stocks & shares ISAs.
