Our 50 Plus plan is an easy way to leave your loved ones with a cash lump sum when you are no longer around. This could help towards funeral costs, unpaid bills or provide a financial legacy for your grandchildren.

Important information

  • Guaranteed full payout after the first year. If you die before this we may only pay you the premiums you've paid into your plan.
  • Depending on how long you live you may pay more in premiums than we pay out when you die.
  • If you stop paying premiums your cover stops and you won't get anything back.
  • Your amount of cover is fixed when your plan starts, so it won't keep up with inflation and will buy less in the future.
  • Payment normally goes to your estate. Inheritance tax could apply to the part that's worth over £325,000 (tax years 2012/2013 to 2014/2015).

  • The offer of a free gift is limited to one gift per person. It will be sent within 28 days of us receiving your third monthly premium. We may change or withdraw this offer at any time. Terms and conditions apply.

Cashback terms and conditions

  • Cashback is only available on policies over £8 a month purchased through this website. It is not available for purchases made by telephone or post.
  • LV= may withdraw cashback where we determine, or reasonably believe the terms of the cashback offer are being abused in any way. We may also not give cashback for anyone who has previously held a 50 Plus plan, or similar policy with us, and cancelled it, or had it cancelled by us.
  • Cashback is paid once a genuine application is validated and six consecutive months’ premiums have been collected. Please be aware that cashback payment could take up to 8 months.
  • If you cancel your policy within this period your cashback will not be paid.
  • Your cashback will be paid directly through the affiliate website you have bought your LV= 50 Plus plan through. If you have any queries about your cashback, please contact your cashback or voucher site, not LV=. 
  • This offer may be withdrawn or amended at any time.
