LV= APPOINTS GROUP HR DIRECTOR

Mutual insurance and investment group LV= has appointed David Smith to the role of Group Human Resources Director.

David joins LV= from Virgin Atlantic where he was Head of Human Resources, having previously held a number of senior human resources roles at Sainsbury's.

David's responsibilities at LV= cover human resources strategy, business partner support, learning and development, recruitment, reward, and employee relations across the group. He reports to LV= Group Chief Operating Officer Richard Rowney.

Commenting on his appointment David Smith said: "This is a hugely exciting time to have joined LV=. Over the last year the group has undergone significant changes and restructuring, including several acquisitions in addition to the launch of a vibrant new brand.
