What to do to prepare for a winter sports holiday.

Before you leave:
- Have the right equipment - make sure your equipment is safe and trustworthy or hire some at the resort. Take sun block to prevent your face from burning and some warm clothes for after skiing.
- Check transport details - if you are flying check with the airline if there are any restrictions or extra costs for taking ski or snowboard equipment with you.
- Know the rules - there'll be rules and regulations at the resort to protect your safety and the safety of others so make sure you and the rest of your group understand them.
- Stick to your level - if you're a beginner you won't have fun on the steeper slopes and it'll also be dangerous for you. Make sure there are slopes for your level before you book.
Because of the nature of the activity on a winter sports holiday, the risk of an accident is higher. Make sure that you're properly covered for your holiday by adding winter sports to your travel insurance policy.
