• is registered and normally kept in Great Britain, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man or Channel Islands
• won't be used abroad for more than 180 days in a row
• is not used for hire or reward

• are legally entitled to drive
• are aged between 17 and 85 (inclusive)
• are residents of mainland UK, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man or Channel Islands

For us to accept proof of your previous No Claim Discount, it must be:

• issued by your previous UK insurer
• less than 12 months old
• in the name of the policyholder
• written in English
• not currently being used on any other policy

At LV= we recognise that 'one size does not fit all' and that your needs might be very different to those of the next person. Accordingly, you have the flexibility to take out three different types of car insurance cover - Third Party Only, Third Party Fire and Theft or Comprehensive cover, depending on what you want or need.

As well as this, you can add optional extras like Motor Legal Expenses cover or extra European cover. If you have Third Party Fire and theft or Comprehensive cover you can also ensure that a courtesy car is available if you need to make a claim.

If you have a full no claims discount you can also opt to guarantee your No Claim Discount, and if you take our comprehensive cover you can increase the personal accident cover. You can also benefit from a multi product discount if you insure more than one car with us.

We realise that if you need to make a claim you'll want to be back on the road as soon as possible. If you're unlucky enough to be involved in an incident, you can contact us 24/7 for our support.
