Motor Trade Insurance
Our Motor Trade road risks product has been designed for proposers operating a motor trade business on a full or part time basis, with or without commercial premises.
In some circumstances the policy may also provide business use for the proposer's other occupation, subject to payment of an additional premium.
Cover is provided on a road risks basis, which operates only when an insured vehicle, other than a vehicle owned by and registered in the personal name of the Insured*, is being used on the public highway, or is temporarily parked during the course of a journey. There is no cover when the vehicle is at, or parked within 400 yards of, the Insured's business premises, or the premises of another trader.
*Vehicles owned and registered in the personal name of the Insured, which must be disclosed to us, are covered regardless of where they are used or parked.
A maximum of four owned vehicles will be acceptable.
