MID Team
We have a dedicated team to help anyone who deals with the MID. The official MID compliance deadline was set as of January 2008.

What are you responsible for?
If you are a Large Fleet policyholder with LV= and have over 20 vehicles then you are responsible for both informing the MID Team of all vehicles at inception in order that they can upload the details to the MID, and then keeping the vehicle schedule up to date on the MID. In addition you must also inform your insurance broker of any vehicle changes.
If you are a Small Fleet policyholder with LV= and have less than 20 vehicles LV= will upload data to the MID on your behalf.
If you are a Motor Trade policyholder with LV= then a proforma should have been completed by your broker at inception with all vehicles held by you. LV= will use this information to load your vehicles onto the MID, but you are responsible for keeping the vehicle schedule up to date on the MID. In addition you must also inform your insurance broker of any vehicle changes.
Ways to advise us of the vehicle changes
There are different ways to inform us:
- Download and complete the template and instruction sheet.
- Ask the MID Team to send a template and instruction sheet to you. This can be sent to you or your client either by Email or Fax as requested.
The changes on the template can then be sent to the MID Team using either of the following methods:

- Reporting direct to the MID
After some research LV= has taken the decision to allow policyholders and brokers (on behalf of policyholders) to go direct to the MID to make changes. For more information about how to do this please contact the MID team on 0845 373 1243 - Option 1.
