LV= scoops up prestigious protection underwriting prize
- Awarded the Chartered Insurance Institute’s H J Greening prize two years consecutively
LV=’s protection underwriting team has scooped the H J Greening prize for the second year in a row. This highly prestigious prize is given by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) to the individual submitting the best life insurance paper of all UK candidates.
Lisa Byrne, based in LV=’s Exeter office, was awarded the prize for her 2009 paper, equalling her colleague Charlotte Smith, also based in Exeter, who won the award for 2008’s paper.
Lisa started her career with LV= in 1998, and Charlotte in 2001. Both are now senior members of the life underwriting team.
Anna Rogers, LV= head of underwriting said: “LV= is a strong supporter of professional qualifications, with all of our life underwriters studying for the joint CII and Assurance Medical Society Diploma in Life and Disability underwriting. We are very proud of Lisa and Charlotte, and that the talent within our LV= underwriting team continues to be acknowledged by the industry. It is these skills that help LV= to have a range of market-leading tele-interviewing, tele-underwriting and automated underwriting solutions.”
