LV= wins at the Recruiter Awards for Excellence 2012
8 May 2012 | Press release
Local employer LV= has won the award for most effective employer brand development at the Recruiter Awards for Excellence 2012. The judges gave LV= the award for the innovative way it has taken its employer brand to a new level through recruitment marketing.
LV= has developed an interactive recruitment campaign that uses both innovative new technology and features current LV= employees. The campaign invites jobseekers to take a photo of LV= recruitment adverts with their mobile phone and send the image to LV= via MMS or email. Using image recognition software LV= then identifies which employee was on the poster, and that person will make a pre-recorded call to the jobseeker in which they says what they do at LV= and what it’s like to work there.
This innovation stood out to the judges who felt that the campaign was comprehensive, fun and engaging and was a great example of how LV= embraced not just new hires but also took into consideration the thoughts and opinions of existing employees. LV= worked with marketing agency Thirty Three on the campaign which used technology that had never been used in recruitment advertising before.
Commenting on the win, David Smith, LV= HR Director, said: “We really wanted to bring our employer brand to life – and what better way than giving our existing employees a voice. At LV= we are always looking for ways to attract top talent and we believe by thinking differently and helping new recruits understand our culture and what it might be like to work for us, we can attract the best people. It is a great achievement for the team to be recognised by the industry for this campaign.”
