What is PICA?
LV= is a founder member of the Pension Income Choice Association (PICA), a high-profile industry body that has been established to raise the importance of the customer’s right to shop around to ensure they receive the best possible retirement income to suit their individual circumstances.
PICA is a membership funded group that was established in 2009 by specialists in the annuities and retirement market. PICA believes that the default option should be for everyone to review their options at retirement. By reviewing the existing pension retirement process and adopting the changes recommended, PICA believes that hundreds of thousands of people over the next ten years will be able to secure a better income in retirement.
