Group of buildings

The Association of Financial Mutuals is the trade body that represents mutual insurers, friendly societies and other financial mutuals in the UK.

Formed in January 2010, it came about through the merger of the Association of Mutual Insurers (AMI) and the Association of Friendly Societies (AFS).



The Association of British Insurers is a lobbying organisation for the British insurance industry.

Formed in 1985, the ABI's policy work is organised around four main policy departments: General Insurance, Life and Pensions, Financial Regulation and Taxation and Investment Affairs.



AMICE was created in January 2008 through the merger of the two previously existing associations of mutual and cooperative insurers in Europe, AISAM and ACME, to represent the interests of the sector with one united voice.
