The LV= Member Panel
Find out how our members are shaping our business.

Shaping the future of LV=
The Member Panel is a small group of about 40 members who represent the interests of all our 1.1million members.
They attend meetings with our board and senior people to discuss issues affecting LV=, gain a more detailed understanding of what we are doing and take part in two way discussions. The Panel's objective is to challenge our performance and plans on behalf of all members. The Panel is therefore invaluable in helping us to understand what you want from us.
When do the Member Panel meetings happen?
We usually hold two meetings a year, one in the spring, on the same day as our AGM, and another at the end of November or early December. Both meetings are usually held in Bournemouth near our head office.
What happens during a Member Panel meeting?

The session follows a structured agenda and usually starts with presentations from our chairman, group chief executive and finance director.
Examples of the subjects which are covered are:
- membership developments
- a global and economic market update
- an update on our business strategy
- a summary of our financial performance
The Panel also break into smaller groups during the meeting to discuss topical matters such as:
- the financial strength of LV=
- what we're doing in the retirement space
- customer satisfaction
- employee engagement
The meeting normally closes with a question and answer session, where the Panel can ask the board and executive any questions.
We're currently looking for new members to participate and welcome applications. If you're interested and think you can commit to attending two meetings a year, please email membership@LV.com or phone Andrew Glatter, head of membership and social responsibility, on (01202) 758516.
All new members who join the Member Panel receive a thorough introduction to LV= before they attend their first meeting.
